Participate in the Learn-A-Thon to prepare students for a successful and lucrative career in technology from Cybersecurity to IoT. Academies can be part of the change and help fill the global skills shortage to build the technology workforce of tomorrow. Upskilling students is easy, low in cost and only takes two weeks through the Learn-A-Thon campaign.
A single breach can have huge consequences for a company’s ability to function, hurting the bottom line and causing disruption in the daily lives of millions of people. This is why the demand for security professionals continues to grow. Get on-board and develop an understanding of cybercrime, security principles, technologies, and procedures used to defend networks. Help your students decide whether they want to pursue an entry-level networking or security role professionally.

The Learn-A-Thon is open to Higher Education NetAcad partners across India who are able to host the event over a two-week period on campus.
Applications are open from 2nd week of July 2019 and close on 4th week of July 2019.
A dedicated instructor is to be appointed to enroll students and guide them through the self-paced Cybersecurity Essentials course over the two-week period.
Allocate a lab facility with good internet connection.
Encourage & motivate students to learn rigorously and earn a digital badge.

The participant students in this Learn-A-Thon earn a digital Badge which is a visual representation of the skills they have acquired. Unlike certificates, badges are distributed and posted online to display skills they have obtained by taking part in the Learn-A-Thon. Badges allow learners to showcase and articulate skills for advancement over social media and digital portfolios.

Recommended for students planning to study for the Cisco CCNA R&S, CCNA Cyber Ops or Cisco CCNA Security Certifications. Prerequisite Introduction to Cybersecurity or equivalent knowledge recommended.
Complete and pass the Cybersecurity Essentials Course during the Learn-A-Thon event hosted by individual academies.
Develop an understanding of cybercrime, security principles, technologies, and procedures used to defend networks.
Develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills using real equipment and Cisco Packet Tracer.
