Participate in the Learn-A-Thon Introduction to IoT and Cybersecurity LOWER MEKONG 2020 to prepare students for a successful and lucrative career in technology from Cybersecurity to IoT. Academies can be part of the change and help fill the global skills shortage to build the technology workforce of tomorrow. Upskilling students is easy, low in cost, and only takes a short time through the Learn-A-Thon campaign.
The Introduction to IoT and Cybersecurity Learn-A-Thon
Length of Learn-A-Thon
Participate in the Learn-A-Thon from 14th September until 9th October 2020.
15- 20 hours self-paced intro courses
IoT course develops interdisciplinary foundation from IoT and digitization. Cybersecurity course explores cyber trends, threats and staying safe in cyberspace. Both courses have multiple activities and quizzes engaging students and reinforce learning.
Benefits of Introduction to Cybersecurity or Introduction to IoT
Discusses why more IT jobs require IoT and cybersecurity knowledge and understanding.
Cost
The cost to join the Learn-A-Thon is free.
In-Demand Skills
When you teach IoT or Cybersecurity, you provide your students with valuable skills companies continually seek from candidates.

Incentives for students to join the Learn-A-Thon
- Students who participate in the Learn-A-Thon and pass the Intro to Cybersecurity course exam with a 70% or above on the first attempt will be awarded a Cisco Intro to Cybersecurity digital badge.
- Students who participate in the Learn-A-Thon and pass the Intro to IoT course exam with a 70% or above on the first attempt will be awarded a Cisco Intro to IoT digital badge.
- Students that participate in the Learn-A-Thon will receive a Cisco Learn-A-Thon experience digital badge
A Cisco digital badge is an emblem distinguishing an achievement that can be shared and validated digitally on LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Xing, via Email, shared link, embed code into web page or blog.
After the Learn-A-Thon, we encourage students to continue on their Cybersecurity journey by taking either Cybersecurity Essentials course or IoT Fundamental: Big Data & Analytics a next step.

Registration
The Learn-A-Thon is open to Instructors across LOWER MEKONG who are able to host the event and participate by opening the course, enrolling students, and encouraging students to participate.
Applications are open from 14th September until 9th October 2020.
