Learn-A-Thon Winners
Participate in the Cisco Networking Academy Malaysia Learn-a-Thon to prepare students for a successful and lucrative career in technology from Cybersecurity to IoT. Academies can be part of the change and help fill the global skills shortage to build the technology workforce of tomorrow. Upskilling students is easy, low in cost and only takes twelve weeks through the Learn-a-Thon campaign.

This Learn-a-Thon focuses on topics covered over four courses: Create one or any combinations of the following courses on NetAcad.com in Introduction to Cybersecurity, Introduction to Data Science, Introduction to IoT and Digital Transformation or Introduction to Modern AI
Length of Learn-A-Thon
Participate in the Learn-a-Thon from 15 March through 15 June 2025.
6-hour Self-paced Course Links
Explores foundational concepts in cybersecurity, data science, IoT, and AI. Multiple activities and quizzes engage students and reinforce learning.
Benefits of the Courses
Teaches entry-level IT courses that highlight the importance of safeguarding digital assets against various threats, how to secure digital assets, analyze and visualize data, and understand how interconnected devices drive digital transformation. The course also introduces AI fundamentals, such as machine learning and neural networks, showcasing their impact on technology and society.

Teaching introductory courses can help students with valuable skills companies continually seek from professionals that varies from Cybersecurity to fundamental of AI and machine learning. Entry-level job roles include Cybersecurity Technician, Cybersecurity Analyst, and Tier 1 Support Desk.

Incentives for students to join the Learn-A-Thon
Students who participate in the Learn-a-Thon and pass the the elegible course exam with a 70% or above on any attempt will be awarded an Introduction to Cybersecurity, Introduction to Data Science, Introduction to IoT and Digital Transformation or Introduction to Modern AI digital badge.
Students that participate in the Learn-a-Thon will receive a Cisco Learn-a-Thon experience digital badge.
A Cisco digital badge is an emblem distinguishing an achievement that can be shared and validated digitally on LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Xing, via Email, shared link; embed code into web page or blog.
After the Learn-a-Thon, we encourage students to continue to complete all four courses: Introduction to Cybersecurity, Introduction to Data Science, Introduction to IoT and Digital Transformation or Introduction to Modern AI.

Awards
The Top 5 (1-5) instructors with the most unique student participants will win prizes and a certificate of recognition. Only one prize per instructor will be awarded.

The Learn-a-Thon is open to NetAcad Academies in Malaysia who are able to coordinate the event virtually or on campus.
