Participate in the NetAcad Cyber Cup Learn-a-Thon by creating one or any combinations of the following courses on NetAcad.com in Computer Hardware Basics, Cyber Threat Management, Endpoint Security, Ethical Hacker, Network Defense or Python Essentials 1 to prepare students for a successful and lucrative career in technology from Cybersecurity to IoT. Academies can be part of the change and help fill the global skills shortage to build the technology workforce of tomorrow. Upskilling students is easy, low in cost and only takes four weeks through the Learn-a-Thon campaign.

Participate in the Learn-a-Thon to help students prepare for the Cisco Certified Support Technician (CCST) Cybersecurity exam that focuses on topics covered in four courses: Computer Hardware Basics, Cyber Threat Management, Endpoint Security, Ethical Hacker, Network Defense, or Python Essentials 1. Most of these courses form the core curriculum of the Cybersecurity Career Path.
Participate in the Learn-a-Thon from 25th November until 31st January, 2025.
Explores cyber trends, threats and staying safe in cyberspace. Multiple activities and quizzes engage students and reinforce learning.
Teaches entry-level cybersecurity concepts and topics, including security principles, network security and endpoint security concepts, threat intelligence, vulnerability assessment and risk management, and incident handling.
The cost to join the Learn-A-Thon is free.
When you teach cybersecurity, you provide your students with valuable skills companies continually seek from professionals that can protect and defend an organization’s network. Entry-level job roles include Cybersecurity Technician, Cybersecurity Analyst, and Tier 1 Support Desk.
Intermediate
Students who participate in the Learn-a-Thon and pass the Intro to Cybersecurity course exam with a 70% or above on any attempt will be awarded a Endpoint Security, Ethical Hacker, Network Defense, or Cyber Threat Management, Computer Hardware Basics, or Python Essentials 1 digital badge.
Students that participate in the Learn-a-Thon will receive a Cisco Learn-a-Thon experience digital badge.
A Cisco digital badge is an emblem distinguishing an achievement that can be shared and validated digitally on LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Xing, via Email, shared link; embed code into web page or blog.
After the Learn-a-Thon, we encourage students to continue to complete all four courses: Endpoint Security, Ethical Hacker, Network Defense, or Cyber Threat Management, Computer Hardware Basics, or Python Essentials 1. The CCST Cybersecurity exam certification is an excellent steppingstone for learners to validate their skills and then continue on to associate-level certifications like CyberOps Associate or CCNA.
Prizes will be awarded to the Top 6 (1-6) instructors with the most student participants will win prizes and a certificate of recognition. The Top (7-12) Instructors will receive a certificate of recognition. Only one prize per instructor will be awarded.
The Learn-a-Thon is open to NetAcad Academies in Algeria, Angola, Azerbaijan, Botswana, Cameroon, Cote d’Ivoire, Congo, Ethiopia, Ghana, Guinea, Iraq, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Morocco, Sengal, Sudan, Tanzania, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates, Uganda, or Yemen who are able to coordinate the event virtually or on campus.
