We are delighted to announce the winners of the Introduction to Cybersecurity International Girls in ICT Day:
International Girls in ICT Day
Cisco is celebrating International Girls in ICT Day around the world on 22 April, 2021 to motivate girls and women to consider science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) subjects.
New studies suggest the impact of the COVID-19 recession on working women is greater than men, unlike other significant economic downturns that more affected men.
Global figures show a startling economic disparity with women losing jobs at almost twice the rate of men and leaving 47 million more women and girls below the poverty line.
If we want to empower girls to secure their own economic future, it only makes sense to expose them to the opportunities STEM skills can bring to their future.
We’re celebrating – get involved!
Cisco Networking Academy is organizing a first-of-its-kind global Learn-A-thon and you can be part of it!
Join this friendly competition and compete for global prizes whilst helping more girls to learn technology skills at same time.
Both boys and girls are welcome to participate in the Learn-A-Thon. In order to officially join the competition, instructors will need to create the course and then register at the Learn-A-Thon website. This Learn-A-thon is capped at 250 instructors, so be quick!
