Participate in the Learn-A-Thon for Introduction to Cybersecurity to prepare students for a successful and lucrative career in technology from Cybersecurity to IoT.  Academies can be part of the change and help fill the global skills shortage to build the technology workforce of tomorrow. Upskilling students is easy, low in cost and only takes four weeks through the Learn-A-Thon campaign.

Awards

The following awards for the European CyberCup Learn-A-Thon will be given as presented in these categories. More details are available here.

Special Event: Contributor Offer

Partners will have the opportunity to leverage this campaign and promote their institution by contributing to our competition in one of two ways:

#1 Gold Content Contributor – Interested partners will be given the opportunity to help create and design questions and challenges for the Capture the Flag Tournament that will occur in phase two and will have their logo displayed on the competition website as a Gold Contributor.

#2 National Award – Interested partners will be invited to create an award of their own for the top 2 or top 5 performing academies of their country (according to the total number of student participants). We will promote the partner and their award to all academies participating in that country through the competition communication.

Instructors
The top 20 instructors with the most student participants will win prizes. Only one prize per instructor will be awarded.

CyberImpact Award

The top Impact Academy Project will be a project team of up to ten members to represent their academy. This prize will be awarded to academies who can deliver a project at scale in your community in the following categories:

  • Underserved/underprivileged
  • Innovation
  • Sustainability

The top sixteen academies participating with the highest points will qualify to play and be invited to participate in the European CyberCup – Capture the Flag Tournament. These top 16 academies will select a team of four (4) students to represent their academy and compete head-to-head in the European CyberCup – Capture the Flag  Tournament on December 1, 2023.

ASC
Innovation Award / Top Partner Award

Innovation Award: the top Academy Support Center (ASC) to be recognized by Cisco for the top Innovation Partner Award. This award recognizes an innovative approach in driving academy participation in the European CyberCup – Capture the Flag competition.

Award is based on the following criteria:

  • Overall Academy participation
  • Innovation and adoption techniques used (social media, other tools)
  • Learners reached
  • Impact on Community

Top Partner Award: the top three Academy Support Centers (ASCs) identified at registration by any participating Learn-A-Thon instructor will be entered to win one of the three top performing partner awards.

How Academies Join the Learn-A-Thon

Host a 4-week event virtually or at your educational institute.

Assign a dedicated instructor to manage the Learn-A-Thon that will read the terms and conditions and set up the course.

Dedicated instructor to set up a self-paced Introduction to Cybersecurity skillsforall.com course page on skillsforall.com using the required naming convention as stated in the terms and conditions.

Dedicated instructor must complete the registration form to sign up its academy and class to participate in the Learn-A-Thon.

Dedicated instructor must enroll students/share link to the self-paced course on skillsforall.com.

Allocates an on-site lab facility with internet connection, if applicable. Encourage students to complete course and earn a digital badge.

All students who complete and pass the Introduction to Cybersecurity course will earn a digital badge to share on social media platforms.

Have the highest number of student participants and you’ll be in the running to win some great prizes.

Registration

The Learn-A-Thon is open to NetAcad Academies in European Union, United Kingdom, Ukraine, Norway, Switzerland, Serbia, Montenegro, Albania, Bosnia Herzegovina, North Macedonia or Israel who are able to host the event over a four-week period virtually or on campus.

Here are the top 16 academies invited to compete in a one day  Capture the Flag final on December 1st, at the end of which we will crown the European Champion of 2023.
During the Capture-The-Flag finale, 16 teams of CyberGuardians will compete to unlock the secrets of the Digital Enigma. These secrets are used to stop the Shadow Cipher from unleashing chaos upon the digital world.
